Sage PFW is a suite of highly modular, integrated client/server financial accounting applications designed to deliver reduced cost of ownership through state-of-the-art technology. With its N-Tier architecture, Sage PFW can be optimized for your specific needs.

• Optimized on Btreive

Sage PFW was the first Mid-Level accounting solution, written just for the btrieve database. This means that Sage PFW runs Sage FAS Fixed Assetster than the competition. Competitors like Great Plains and Solomon were built for other databases and had their code ported over to run on Btrieve.

• Object Technology

Sage PFW utilizes native Windows client applications. In addition, the software will incorporate the latest object technology for desktop application integration (OLE 2.0, Sage PFW Basic). Sage PFW is also the only mid-level accounting solution that uses Single Document Interface, or SDI.

• Customization Workbench

The PFW Toolset provides full access to both client and server functionality to enable exact tailoring to custom requirements. These facilities provide complete integration, combined with the outstanding performance of a fully optimized Btrieve database. Documentation includes a full Database Schema and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD’s).

• Advanced Networking and Communications

Sage PFW runs across LANs and WANs, and supports standard networking protocols such as TCP/IP, Novell IPX/SPX, and Microsoft NT Server.

Sage PFW is tightly integrated with Microsoft Office. For example, the software can incorporate Microsoft Word for Windows templates that allow users to create customized Statements and Dunning letters. We have also developed Excel interfaces using both OLE 2.0. Data integrity is maintained as applications adhere to the Sage PFW security model.
